Angela Daulton
Company Director, Dance and Acting Instructor
Angela graced the stage at the age of 3 dancing to the “Scooby Doo” theme song and has been performing ever sense. Daulton danced for 13 years with Ann Brodie’s Carolina Ballet. At age 13 she decided to expand her theatrical talents and started studying voice, acting, and participating in community theatre productions. In high school she received numerous awards including three Best Actress award from the Southeastern Theatre Conference. She continued her education at Shenandoah Conservatory where she studied Musical Theatre. On weekends she would take the train into the New York to take dance classes at Broadway Dance Center where she was fortunate enough to take master classes with some of Broadways finest including Ann Reinking and Savion Glover. After moving to Greensboro to be closer to family, she studied Directing at UNCG. She has directed and choreographed over a dozen productions and has won awards for both, including be selected for the Southeastern Theatre Conference Fringe Festival for her production of Assassins and Best Choreography at MTI’s Junior Theatre Festival for Aladdin. She believes that her success is also seen through her students who have been accepted to many highly accredited Universities and performed in many professional and community productions. She is very excited to share what knowledge she has as well as grow and develop her own career with the amazing young professional artists at The Academy of Theatrical Arts.
